Nothing against xtina, her voice just makes my ear drums bleed.
When artists collaborate, it can be great. Queen/David Bowie's Under Pressure comes to mind. But by collaborating are you, as an artist, setting yourself up to disappoint your fans? I bet when Queen started playing "Under Pressure" live, the audience wondered if David Bowie was going to make a surprise appearance. No matter how good Roger Taylor's (drummer) interpretation might be, it's not the same.
I wonder how all the hip hop/rap artists do it. They collaborate all the time. I bet they use backing tracks for guest artists.
I hope this answered your question(s). On another note, I wish that Maroon 5 guy would wear a shirt.
Have a nice day.
I'm number 2 in my fantasy league! I'm smoking everybody (except for the person who is number 1, ha ha.)! 100% pure luck, believe me.
