Today is my awesome birthday! Because of this, feel free to take today off. You're welcome.
Friday night Cara and I had dinner with friends in NYC. I got to debut a new character, Bobby New York. We were crossing a street with crawling traffic. They walked in the crosswalk, I walked in front of some slow-moving cars. I was halfway down the block before they realized my slick move. I said, you have to keep up with Bobby New York! After that, Bobby New York bought a round of drinks. I said, it's on Bobby New York. We laughed and laughed.
Saturday, boom, I was in the barber's chair at 7:30 AM! After every haircut he reaches for the hand mirror and I always tell him to stop. Then I look in the big mirror and loudly said, I love it! I have to say, he loves it. The rest of Saturday was kind of a blur.
Sunday I gave myself a pre-birthday gift of a McDonald's breakfast. It was good. Cara and I watched our nephew Peter the rest of the day. And then we had a lovely family dinner Sunday night. That was my weekend.
Have a nice day.

Man, I had a great time last night! I saw KISS at the Ed Sullivan Theater. I got to see a lot of friends I haven't seen in a long time. It was nice to reconnect. Here's a poorly shot video I took of KISS making their grand entrance:
To see how the pros tape an entrance, and a concert, CLICK HERE. Live on Letterman is an excellent web series. They all do a great job. Thanks, Walter. I had a fun night.
That video is my first attempt of editing using Final Cut Pro X. It's different but the jury is still out. A few years ago I took an expensive Final Cut Pro course. I learned on Final Cut Pro 7. After I took the course, Apple totally changed the program! Such is life. Such is MY life, ha ha. I'm told you can still buy FCP 7 but I don't know if they still update it. Crazy world.
I'm writing this on my new computer. I finally broke down. My old Mac was from 2006. It's so old, in computer years, they stopped updating everything. To save money on my new computer I bought a refurbished Mac. I got all the ram and all the gigabytes I needed for about 15% less than retail. Plus, I had an Apple gift certificate. So the final price wasn't so bad. I've been using it for two days and have no issues. It's so great! I'm very happy.
OK, that's all I know. Have a great day.

My goal this weekend was live life to the fullest. Mission accomplished! I woke up 7:30 on Saturday morning. For the first time in a long time I got on my bicycle. I'm not going to lie, my body went into full shock! "What the hell is going on?!", said my body. But it felt good. So good, I talked myself into riding up the steepest hill I could find. Mistake. My legs were burning and my breathing was heavy. I only made it halfway and was worried I wasn't going to make it home. But I did make it. It took a long time to cool down. Too much too soon.
Everybody has one area where junk gathers. Cara and I made a big dent in cleaning our area. Man, I have a lot of crap. I have a collection of rap dolls. I may get rid of them. It was a fun collection to put together. But once I realized I'd never get the Beastie Boys in my collection, it seemed pointless. Their dolls sell on their website for $750. The money goes to charity but still, $750 is a lot for a weird hobby, ha ha.
Sunday morning I woke up at 6:30AM. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go for another bike ride or go to the Coinstar machine. I went to the Coinstar machine. We had $148 in change. That's some sweet coinage! I got it put on an Amazon gift certificate to avoid the surcharge. When I got home, I took a deep breath and got back on my bike! This time I stayed away from "suicide hill", ha ha. Check it out:
Wasn't that amazing? Ha ha. I removed the sound because there was too much wind.
Sunday afternoon Cara and I saw The Oranges.
I enjoyed the film. It was funny. That's enough for today. Have a good one!

Hey, ciabatta bread, what the heck?!
I ended up cooking the short ribs last night. Instead of cooking them in the slow cooker, I braised them in the oven. I f'd them up. I checked on them halfway through and they had plenty of liquid. But somewhere between halfway and the end, they dried up. Ugh! Thankfully they ended up tasting good. The meat still fell off the bone. But the sauce got screwed up. Such is life. OK, no more slow cooking/braising for a while.
Cara and I watched X Factor last night. I have never seen anybody, woman or man, wear a shirt this low cut.
Can somebody tell Simon Cowell, on this side of the pond, we wear our shirts buttoned up! Gross.
Have a great weekend!
