A lot of family and friends now have power. In our neighborhood/area of about 400, there are 75 people without electricity. I am one of those people, ha ha. It's hard but it could have been worse. That's what people always say, right? F that, I want my TV on stat!
I've eaten out every meal this week. This is just a guesstimate but I may weigh 500 pounds. I'm so tired. Probably from all the gravy slogging through my bloodstream.
We (Cara and I) were looking for a place to eat last night. We headed to the diner but they blew some kind of pipe. Workers were digging up the street. Then we went to a bar/restaurant. They weren't fully back because all the doors were open. They were packed but there was no air conditioning. WTF? Who could eat like that? A lot of people, apparently. A lot of psychos.
We drove a town over and ate in a nice Chinese restaurant. There were 4 couples (including us) in the whole restaurant. Always a sign of a great place to eat, ha ha. At the next table there were two older ladies. They were having a great conversation. It sounded like Old Lady 1 was teaching Old Lady 2 the rules of being old.
Old Lady 1: "You have a list in your wallet of all the medications you're taking?"
Old Lady 2: "No, I don't."
Old Lady 1: "Do it!"
Ha ha. Cara and I laughed and laughed. We're not 100% sure why it was so funny to us.
I'd like to end today's update with a shout out to an old friend. Thank you, Honda Element.
Sometimes we make fun of you because of your bright, bright orange color but you haven't failed me when I needed you the most. This week you were my iphone charger, my cooling station, my escape from a dark house and carrier of a new shrub. You are the ultimate Swiss Army Knife.
Have a nice day.
PS Mom, Do you have a list in your wallet of all the medications you're taking? Do it!
