10:00 AM - I arrived for duty. I sat in a big, empty room.
12:00 PM - We were called into another room and told they were trying to work out a deal. We were free to go to lunch.
2:00 PM - We came back from lunch.
2:45 PM - We were called into another room and were told the case was settled. It was a civil case. The defendant said he had a verbal agreement to invest in a club. The club owners had a different story. They settled for $170,000.
I'm not going to lie or exaggerate, I went through hell. (ha ha) I'm glad it's over. I'm proud I did my service.
What will I miss the most? Talking to my fellow jurors, reading a book? No, I'm going to miss D1:
