Election eve, can you feel it!? I thought it was cool that due to the expected high number of people voting, they're going to extend the voting by a day. Republicans vote on Tuesday and Democrats vote on Wednesday. This way, there's no rush to the polls. But seriously, no matter how this thing turns out, we have to get this country united again, am I right people?! I just checked my e-mail and I have to say, I'd be willing to vote for anyone that could stop the 100's of fake Rolex watch SPAM ads I get -- Good Lord, for the 1000th time: I don't need a fake Rolex, enough!

Friday I went out after work to a lovely steak place with my coworkers. I had a 16-ounce filet mignon --that was some sweet eating!

Mmmmmmmm, steak

Sure, I went into a meat coma later that night but, it was worth it. I also had a few beers and some red wine. Oh my, red wine with meat, it just doesn't get much better.

Saturday I woke up at 6 AM because my neighbor left his alarm clock on, again. In my sleepy state, I thought it was a blessing in disguise and thoughtit may have been a sign from the Lord for me to drive to Atlantic City. But I fell asleep on my sofa instead. The alarm thing doesn't bother me, now, but one day, I may snap. I woke up, on my own terms, around 11. I got my laundry together and walked to my car. I ran into a guy with battery problems and tried to help him out. The battery in his BMW is located in the trunk and it was hard to get to, he didn't have the right wrench.

The battery is in the trunk!
I had it and offered to go back to my place to help him out. I drove to my place, picked up the wrench, drove back and the damn thing didn't work. So, I didn't really help him at all. Maybe I did help a little, he was losing it, it was funny to walk to my car and hear some guy yell at the top of his lungs,"F@%KING CAR!" Now, what's the moral to this story? That's right; BUY AMERICAN! Or at the very least, buy an American wrench, ha ha. (I'm kidding, that BMW was sweet!)

I did the laundry after that, then Target and then the A &P. I think I don't like Target. I went in to buy two things and they didn't have either. They really should have had a small audio wire I was looking for and they really should have had an ipod case. It's two thousand and four people! If something is low on stock, wouldn't that be reflected in computer? A Wal-Mart opened up nearby, I'll probably go there from now on.

I have one goal for this time of year: Avoid getting hit in the head with an egg. That means that I was back in my apartment by 7. Small price to pay to avoid picking egg shells out of your skull. I had a chicken for dinner and watched TV. I slept on my sofa because I didn't feel like getting up at 6 AM again.

Sunday I woke up around 9:00 and had a bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats. I should have bought Cookie Crisp, I hate it when I make a cereal mistake. I headed out around 12:00 to get a haircut. I went all scissors this time and ended up with a high-quality cut. I was in the chair for about 30 minutes. I headed back to my apartment to watch football. I have to say, I had an enjoyable day in front of the TV.

Time for a new feature to BobBorden.com, I call it:Missed Opportunities. Missed Opportunity #1: On Friday, my friend Tara asked me to her brother's Halloween party, about an hour away from me in NJ. I said 'no' and cited as my reasons for not going: The distance, the driving/not being able to drink and/or drinking/sleeping on a strange sofa and my hatred for Halloween. But thinking about it now, Tara's good people and maybe I should have sucked it up. Missed Opportunity #2: On Sunday, my friend Tiffany and her friends were going to go apple picking/pumpkin picking, she asked me to go. I said no, because it just sounds stupid. She explained to me that it's not so much the event as it is the people/friends. She had a good point but I really wanted to watch football. The Steelers were on fire yesterday! I don't feel so bad about that one because I know I would have hated every second of picking apples but that's just me. Lessons learned, sort of.

It didn't hit me until yesterday at 7 PM that my website was four years old. Keeping that in mind,I'm going to give away one item everyday this week. Item #1: My favorite film of all time, EASY RIDER. If you haven't seen this classic film, now's your chance to own it! I bought the new one last week and am giving away my used one but it's in great condition. If you want it, send an e-mail to WINMYBEEFLOG@YAHOO.COM -- Be a U.S. resident and enter ONLY if you've never seen it.

That's it for today! Have a great Monday. By the way, I made it! I didn't get hit with an egg this year. It's the little things.

Sincerely,

Bob
