The cats are sleeping, my apartment is clean, Jane's Addiction's 'Then She Did' is very low in my headphones and my dinner is well on its way to being digested - Time to write the best diary of my life!

If not the best, maybe I'll just try to fill the page with pretty words, ha ha. Now I know no one's reading my site today as it's a holiday. I work today -- I can't tell you how many times I've heard;
"You work on Labor Day?" I can't complain, I had a good summer and to be honest, my weekend wasn't so great -- I'm looking forward to being busy. I'm writing today's diary for me.

Time for a new feature to bobborden.com, I call it:
BobBorden.com Salutes The American Workforce for Getting it Done:
Way to go, guys!

That was BobBorden.com Salutes The American Workforce for Getting it Done --
Tell your friends!

Friday night I have no idea what I did. It may have involved a
chicken burrito and a movie.

Saturday I woke up around nine o'clock, got a shower and hit the road. First stop, Nutley to do my laundry. I stopped off at Best Buy first, I didn't buy anything. Next I drove to Pier 1 Imports. They still had the same As-Is armoire that I was tempted to buy last week. It had another scratch on it but it was still the same price. If the price goes down again and it's still there, I may get it. I'll slap a coat of paint on that sucker and it will be as good as new.

I got on route 3 West and could see a wall of traffic -- turns out there was a football game at the stadium. I turned around and drove back to Hoboken. I did my laundry at a place on the other side of town.
I used to do my laundry there back in the day but now i find it depressing. Nothing ever changes in that place: Same woman, same machines, same everything. The depressing thought is that I'm in the same place too. Man, I didn't think that until just now -- darn.

I went to the A & P afterwards, you know, the same crap I do every weekend. I unloaded my stuff and then drove to the record store. I picked up the new
Reverend Horton Heat CD. Damn, he's good. He's coming to Hoboken this month, I'm very tempted to see him. The best part about driving to the record store was that I found a parking spot big enough for my land yacht. Everyone's away for the long weekend and Hoboken was a ghost town.

It was hot on Saturday. When I'm driving short distances, I never turn on my A/C but it was just too hot to suffer.
I turned it on and it made a very loud sound from under the car. I said to myself, well, I'm never going to do that again, ha ha. I turned it off right away -- I'm glad summer's over, if only for that reason.

I picked up some Chinese food for dinner and started watching
The Shawshank Redemption.

Sunday I woke up around ten o'clock. I had some breakfast and then started moving/sorting things in my apartment.
I spent the whole day doing that. It was gloomy out and the push to do something outside wasn't there. I never left my apartment. I always say; clean apartment, clean mind. Actually, I never say that.

That's more than enough for a holiday.
Have a great day off - you earned it!

Stay beautiful,

Bob
