Thanks to the five people that posted on my message board yesterday. I was worried that my plea fell on deaf ears, or worse, people have tuned me out. I knew I wasn't alone!

On my way to work and on the way home yesterday I saw a Kia Rio parked on the street. I thought to myself, man,
that's one ugly ride.
This is a Kia Rio

Then I remembered a few years back I almost bought one of those things.
The number one selling point: price. But from what I can gather, that's about it. I was ready to buy one but I got a bad vibe from the dealer. If I get a bad vibe, watch out. Someone was looking out for me that day. Everytime I walk past one now, I usually say, "Whew!" -- ha ha.

I watched
Prince on The Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame ceremony last night. He's so good! He played his own great set but then sat in on the George Harrison set and tore that place up! It was cool to see him as a guitar player vs. the ring leader. Very talented man. I bought the George Harrison album All Things Must Pass a few weeks ago. I'm enjoying that a lot. Beware of Darkness and Let It Down are my favorites so far. I like music.

Van Halen is going to tour this summer. The rumor is that Sammy's back. Good for them. The only thing telling me not to see that tour is the 50-minute bass guitar solo. I think solos died with heavy metal but for some reason they LOVED to give everyone a shot. But a bass solo, on a Jack Daniel's bass is a little too much. The only person in that band you need a solo from is Eddie. They got lucky with Sammy after Dave 'left', they were pushing their luck with that other guy. Lightning rarely strikes twice, they went for three and got burnt.

OK, so
that's it for Rockbeat, tune in next time for my one on one with one of the chicks from The Bangles.

Have a great day.

All my best,

Bob
