I had a great night last night. I guess the better word is - bittersweet. It's late and in order for me to give this event the proper coverage it deserves - wait - my cat just got caught in the handle of a shopping bag. OK, I'm back; they are curious creatures, aren't they? - So, I'm going to devote Wednesday's diary to one heck of an evening. I knew I wouldn't have time tonight to write something good, so I asked my brother George to write today's diary for me. Wait, I'm watching ESPN and some announcer just said, "I'm going to flip the script on this one." What a jackass! OK, without further adieu, my brother George (I'll be back on Wednesday):

Greetings Bobborden.com fans,

Bob's brother George here. Last week I offered to "pinch-hit" for Bob during times he cannot produce a diary, well, today is your lucky day! As most of you know, Bob told me to pound salt with my offer on 11-05-03. Since he is too busy tonight, he sent me flowers and told me what a "smart older brother" I am and took me up on my offer, you know folks, I'm just trying to help...that's what big brothers do.

First of all I would like to congratulate Bob on a great 3-year run of this diary, folks,
coming up with this stuff is not easy (insert applause for Bob here)! And second I would like to thank all who participate in the chat board on this site, (insert applause for bobborden.com fans here)!

My wife and I attended the wedding of
my best friend in New York City over the weekend and had a great time.
Newlyweds!

Friday morning we woke-up and decided to take a walk to get a bite to eat. We passed by the Today show, saw Katie, Matt and Al. Afterward we got a cup of
expensive-ass coffee at Dean and Deluca's across from NBC. We waited to see Bernadette Peters but she never showed. I took my wife on a long walk toward the Late Show and ended up at the Hello Deli to get a couple bagels from Rupert. I have not see him in about 6 years so I had to re-introduce myself to him. Rupert then remembered me and whipped-up our order. I didn't tell Bob that we were coming by that morning, Rupert told me what time Bob usually stops by, but we missed each other.

On
Saturday night we met Bob for dinner at The Palm and let me tell you...if you ever go to the city, go hungry and get a steak at The Palm. Folks this was the most outstanding slab of beef I have ever had, it made Morton's seem like dog meat! Great service, great food and most of all great company. My wife, Liz, got the salmon...it's her favorite. The poor thing couldn't even finish it -- oh well that's big city eating for ya!
George and Liz

After dinner we decided to call it a night due to being bloated from The Palm. Liz and I got back home to Steubenville Sunday afternoon to our 4 children who were missing us. Folks, that's about it for me for this round of "Assisting Bob with the Diary".
I wish all the bobborden.com readers a great Tuesday. Please come back tomorrow when your regular host will be with you. If you have any questions for me please utilize the bobborden.com chat board. I will respond to you.

Sincerely,

George

PS Some of you may know that I play drums in a heavy metal band (yes, it's true ;-)). Well, if your going to be in Pittsburgh, PA this coming Sunday we will be playing with RATT at a local venue. Check out this link for more information http://www.aftershok.com/news.htm.

Until next time!
