I'm almost positive I was out on a date last night. I say almost because we both agreed to meet up without the stress of it being a date, just a friendly meeting. However, I'm 32 and I live alone with two cats -- I'm at the point in my life that if a girl smiles at me on the bus, I consider that a date, ha ha. I say that as a joke but I'm not too far off the mark. Anyway, I had a great time talking with her. Then, Monday Night Football came on and I lost her. She's a big football fan, even has season tickets, that's pretty cool. I'm not a sports guy. My friend,"Chad" is from Indianapolis and he's a huge sports fan -- especially the Indy teams. Every now and then when I see a sports blurb or part of a game I'll bring it up to him to make myself feel more manly. I say my fact and run away like a dog that just took a piss on the rug -- because a follow up question would put me in a bad spot. So, I saw a news blurb on the Heisman trophy winner and mentioned it to him. "Hey man, great news on your Hoosiers, they finally brought it back to Indy!" I was so proud of myself for remembering these facts. "Chad" was silent and just said to me, "It was the Huskers." I couldn't have been more confused and wrong. I was in the band in high school! Football aside, I did enjoy my night and we did have a lot of other things in common, TV comes to mind. So, it looks like I'm friends with another woman, that's cool, right? Right? AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Internet acting, thank you thank you very much. OK, that was my day yesterday. I did some work stuff too, ha ha. That's all I got. Go Huskers! God Bless America!
