Recently I made mac & cheese.  It looked amazing!  But it tasted kind of bland.  And it separated.  I can't figure out what I did wrong.  I made it with whole milk, cheddar, Gruyere, flour, unsalted butter and other things.  I just did a search for "Secret of creamy mac & cheese."  I should have cooked the macaroni in the milk!  Turns out the starch from the pasta thickens the béchamel.  Live and learn.

I watched team USA beat team USA in women's volleyball last night.  That seemed kind of odd.  I was rooting for team USA and they won!  Ha ha.  Afterwards I turned in early.  I was going to watch a movie but I fell asleep.  Cara woke me up and told me about the rest of the night.  I was too tired to understand anything.  I'm proud of our Olympians but can't wait for Master Chef to be back on, ha ha.
