One nice little surprise from our trip last week happened when we rented our car. We reserved a compact car, the cheapest option. We got in so late, 12:30 AM, they must have run out of small cars because we ended up with this:

A convertible Mustang! It was fun cruising around with the top down. Sweet deal. Thanks, AVIS! 

Times are tough everywhere. That fact was driven home hard when I saw a guy capture and eat a seagull with his bare hands!

I couldn't believe my eyes!  Crazy times.
