Today is the 11th anniversary of BobBorden.com! Wow.
Today is also the awful holiday, Halloween. If you've been following me for the past 11 years you know why I hate this "holiday." For any new readers, I hate Halloween because: When I was a kid, I went trick or treating and my candy was stolen. That's enough right there but there's more. As an adult, I was walking home and some street thugs hit me upside the head with an egg. Both horrible experiences. If I can find any enjoyment in this day it's this:
Sweet, sweet candy. I bought a bunch for the kids. Of course, I had to sample a few. You know, to make sure it's fresh for the kids. I knew my testing got a little out of control when Cara posted this to Facebook, "Overheard in the Borden house: 'while you're up, get me some Dots.' Halloween can't come soon enough!" Ha ha! I was more animal than man. Sorry, Cara.
How was my weekend? Good. It snowed/rained all-day Saturday. Crazy. I woke up Saturday morning to get a new cable box. I made some changes to my service and wanted to get a faster box. When I change channels, most of the time, it's very slow. So, the closest place with the box I needed, according to the operator, was in Flushing. That's only 5 miles away but it was a VERY LONG 5 miles. I got there and, of course, they don't exchange boxes. Ha ha. I half expected that to happen. A few phone calls later and they're going to send me a new remote to see if that's the problem.
Sunday I went to Home Depot and Target but really just took it easy.
Have a nice day.
