I saw a piece on CBS Sunday Morning about an eyeglass internet company, warbyparker.com. They make stylish glasses at an affordable price ($95). Basically they make the glasses themselves and cut out the middle man. I haven't had new glasses or an eye exam in about two years. I thought, this is a great time to take care of business. I went to my local Pearle Vision Center for an exam. In order to get my glasses from warbyparker.com, I need my prescription and a PD measurement. That's the measurement between your pupils.
They refused to give me the measurement. Ha ha. I didn't get pissed. Good for them for knowing I'm not going to buy their overpriced, boring frames. I've never left an eyeglass store without spending at least $300. This warbyparker.com is SO exciting! I want to try something new! My appointment is later this month. I will keep you updated.I was going to buy some fireworks for this weekend. I did some research and the closest place is 65 miles away! Ha ha. So, I'll have to turn on the TV. That stinks. There's nothing like lighting off your own stuff.
What do you think about the MSNBC commentator who called President Obama a "dick"? I thought it was pretty funny. The guy must have lost his mind. I'm so worried about our country. It's very depressing to read the news. Ugh.
