I like men's figure skating. I got interested in the sport after watching Be Good Johnny Weir on the Sundance Channel. He's entertaining.

Johnny Weir

So entertaining that I found myself routing against his arch rival, Evan Lysacek. I don't even know why they don't get along, ha ha. After hearing Lysacek talk about his victory, he seems like a nice enough guy. I was happy Lysacek beat the Russian guy, Plushenko. Plushenko came off like an arrogant tool.

Plushenko loses gold medal
due to giant head.

Yevgeny Plushenko thought his quad jump was good enough to beat the competition. I found his jumps to be sloppy. Also, don't complain about Lysacek's win. Lysacek skated a smart program, made flawless jumps and used the scoring system to his advantage. By saving a lot of his jumps for later in his program, he gained extra points. Smart.

Back to Johnny Weir. He's an artist. His skating was beautiful. But, it seems skating isn't judged on beauty either. I think he deserved to be ranked higher than 6th place. But he has nothing to feel sorry about. He's more of a true champion than Plushenko.
