Saturday, Cara and I went to Jones Beach. We walked the boardwalk and enjoyed the day. Saturday night, we stayed in and watched a movie. We started off watching "Get Smart" but it wasn't drawing us in. So, we switched to "Last Chance Harvey." It was a nice little movie.
Sunday we got up bright and early and drove to Fairway Market. Their motto is: "Like No Other Market." Let me tell you, they aren't lying. This place was crazy! They must have had 10,000 apples for sale. They dry their own meat, have their own seafood, cheese, and coffee departments. And their prices were great! King Kullen, time to step up your game! Sunday night we invited Cara's Dad over for dinner. On the menu: Bow tie pasta with peas and sausage. Delicious. We watched the Giants game. I couldn't believe the Giants blew it.
Ooooo, tonight IFC is showing Bananas at 8 PM. I've been in the mood to rewatch that lately.
I'm writing this while Cara is watching Grey's Anatomy. I'm listening to my headphones. Here's a list of the last five songs I listened to:
The Plugz: Red Eye # 9
New Pornographers: From Blown Speakers
The Psychedelic Furs: Heaven
MGMT: Of Moons, Birds & Monsters
Soul Asylum: Growing Into You
Did you know Amazon.com has some great deals on music sometimes. Every month (I think) they feature 50 albums for $5 each (MP3's). They're not all stinkers either. I just bought this for $5. Any way you slice it, that's a good deal.
That's it.
Best,
Bob
