Cara and I started yesterday watching a chick flick. So, It's only fitting we ended the day seeing a chick flick. This time it wasn't on TBS. It was in a movie theater. We saw:

Julie & Julia

This film was pretty good. However, I could have used more Julia and a lot less Julie. Meryl Streep was fantastic!

Inspired by all of the great food in this movie, Cara and I went home and cooked dinner from Julia's cookbook.

Ha ha, just kidding. We went to a lovely French bistro (La Petite Framboise) and ate like kings! We started off with mussels in red sauce. Soaking the bread in the sauce is so tasty! You could drink that sauce with a straw! Cara ordered the Sole Meuniere (Sauteed filet of sole with noisette potatoes and haricots verts in a brown butter sauce) and I had the Coquilles St. Jacques et Crevettes (Pan seared scallops and shrimp served with fricassee of leeks, oyster mushrooms and corn in a truffle cream sauce). So good!

That so made up for my lunch of fish sticks and Capri Sun, ha ha. Sadly, that's not a joke.

Good times in the 'burbs, good times.
