Sadly, I'm not talking about the classic film by Alfred Hitchcock. Cara (my wife) had the misfortune of standing next to two people who were brought together by some pain medication. And, she took a picture, a girl after my own heart!
The woman on the train took a pill and the guy noticed it was some kind of pain medication. What a great conversation starter! But, it worked. Soon he was standing uncomfortably close to her on a not-so-crowded train. They both have ex-spouses and frequent the same hangouts. After a whole train ride of uncomfortable flirting and awkward banter, they parted ways...without exchanging numbers!
WTF? He did tell her his place of business and mentioned that he is the only guy there named, "Rick." And also said, "I work at 'blah, blah, blah' if you ever need anything." Smooth!
Will fate ever put these people on the same train?
