| 4 MORE YEARS! Wait a second, I think I got two of the biggest news stories from yesterday mixed up. That should read: George W. Bush was re-elected and Nick and Jessica announced their marriage is fine. Man, the sigh of relief I let out after hearing both stories, I don't even want to talk about it. Oh me and my crazy news mix-ups. |
Another odd election. I posted my diary on Tuesday around 11:30 PM. I watched the returns until about 2 AM, then fell asleep on the sofa. I woke up at 4 AM and NBC was reporting that Bush got Ohio. That's all I needed to know and I went to bed. Then I wake up and it's not a done deal, how's that possible?! I'm glad it's over, now it's time to move forward. And to be fair, I'd be saying the same thing if Kerry won. There's more important stuff to worry about than who gave the better speech.
I touched on this in my Tuesday diary but this was a rough week for me. I was given the finger and asked if I was a communist, all because I lean to the right. I don't understand that way of thinking. I understand people have other views than I do but I'd never give someone the finger or ask if they're a communist -- even as a joke. I respect people too much. I'm not sure how I feel about that type of expression. There are things I like about the left but it doesn't all ring true for me. The same can be said about the right but the scale tips more to the right (for me) than the left. I'd entertain being somewhere in the middle but our system isn't set up that way. It'd be nice if we could work together. OK, I'm done.
I want to thank everyone for entering my contests this week, well, except for the used remote control prize when only one person entered, ha ha. Let's pick a winner for the Drive-by-Truckers CD.
