I got back just in time for dinner. It was great to be around Mom/ the nephews & niece/ Brother/ Sister-in-law. Family, you know.
Saturday I woke up bright and early (10ish) and had to get the oil changed in my truck. That was uneventful as they told me all the fluids that escape from my car that aren't meant to escape. I got to get rid of that ride. With gas prices, it costs $33 to fill up my tank and I have to fill it up often. After the car stuff, I hung out with the kids for the rest of the day. My Mom played video games with my nephews and wasn't doing so well. She asked what her score was and my nephew Jacob said, "Your score is zero and you're last." Ha ha. Kids, am I right?
Sunday I woke up around 8. My friend Tim is on the Steelers season ticket waiting list, he's number 43,000. He may be able to buy tickets in 10 years, maybe. Until that happens, he gets to go to a few games. He asked me if I wanted to go and I said, "Hell yes!" We drove up around 11 AM, found some parking across the river and took the ferry to the stadium (Heinz Field).
It's a beautiful stadium. We were in the nose-bleed seats but still had a great view of the game.

We sat here
The game was great! All the weather people said it was going to be 67 degrees and sunny. Turns out, it was 55 degrees and cloudy. I left my jacket in my car and brought my sunglasses. I was cold for most of the game and never needed the sunglasses. I wanted to bring my camera but I didn't want to carry all that stuff without jacket pockets. I wanted a photo of Tim and I in the stands, so I asked this nice woman in front of us to take our photo and e-mail it to me. I hope she sends it, I haven't received it yet.
We left the game when we knew the Steelers couldn't lose. We beat the traffic and went to a nice place to get some wings for dinner. With 24 wings inside me, I thought, 'hey, it's time to hit the road', ha ha.
I left around 6 PM, hit the turnpike and was back in Hoboken around 12:30. I don't mind telling you that I was pretty tired yesterday but I expected to be -- it wasn't so bad. How was that for a weekend?! I had a damn good time.
While I was watching football in Pittsburgh, my friend Pam was skydiving (Against my advice) in New York. She was so proud, she called to tell me that nothing went wrong and my advice stinks, ha ha. In my defense, check out the instructor she jumped with:

Dude, we're skydiving
They're falling to earth at great speed and this guy is posing for the camera! I don't know, is it me? Am I just too old? I'm glad you're still with us Pam.
I'm going to close bobborden.com today with a new feature that I like to call, Hey, I Know That Guy! I have a friend I grew up with in Steubenville, he moved to Hollywood ten years ago to be a working actor. Sam Vance is his name and he landed a FEDEX commercial and I have to say, he's pretty good!
TELL YOUR FRIENDS!
That's it for today.
Sincerely,
Bob
