This last week felt like two weeks, if you happened to be on vacation, like I was, that's a good thing. Welcome back!

My vacation started in the Hamptons, that's right, the Hamptons, playground to the rich and famous. It was
July 4th weekend, Walter/"Sally" invited a few people to their place for BBQ and fun. I had a great time. I relaxed, took my boat out on the water (Photo to come later this week) and the beach. Had I grown up thin and by a beach, I think I would have been a beach person. I bought a wave board and hit the surf. The water was cold but Walter and I went in anyway. I can't say enough good things about that place. Thanks again Walter and "Sally."

Monday I ironmaned it back to Ohio,
10 hours on the road! I can't say enough bad things about route 80, ha ha. I'm just sick of that road now, I drive on it so much. I noticed on this trip that large Church youth groups like to do things in the summer. Mostly, use the bathrooms at the rest stops! Pay the extra $20 bucks and get a bus with a toilet! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Drives me crazy!

The rest of the week is a blur. I hung out with the nephews/niece, tossed the football and played x-box.
I'm a little worried about the littlest Borden, Max (Today's Photo of the Day). He's a hellion! He walks up to you all innocent and then he starts hitting you. I hit him back too and he just doesn't stop. He also responds to your questions with the lovely phrase: "Stinky poopy." How do you have a conversation around that? But we did have some good times, we watched the jets fly into Pittsburgh airport, he likes jets.

My Mom and I spent some quality time at the local casino.
I'm hooked on the Wheel of Fortune slot machines. I'm addicted to getting that wheel to spin. I won $1000 a month ago and kept trying to hit the big one this time around. I didn't hit it. Damn machines! I should stick to the table games but this place doesn't have any, yet. Anyway, it was an exciting night at the casino because Kaptain Robbie Knievel was there to do one of his famous jumps or should I say one of his dad's famous jumps, YES, take that Robbie! I'm kidding, of course. When it came time for the jump, I was sitting at the Wheel of Fortune machine, ha ha. Here's a photo that was in the paper:
Kaptain
Robbie Knievel

I could have walked across the parking lot to see it but then I thought, '
why?'

I did normal things like drive to the store and getting the oil in the truck changed.
I lived the life of an Ohioan, except I didn't get drunk or knock anyone up, ha ha. Easy joke, sorry.

Driving back yesterday was tough. Again, route 80. My truck is punishing on a long drive, after 8 hours,
my spine feels like Jello. I didn't even turn on the radio, I just wanted to drive and get from point A to B. One notable thing can be explained with one photo:
80,000 miles
and still going strong

My Jeep hit 80,000 miles! 80,000 original miles, not bad for a 1982. I was thinking about just holding on to it until the wheels fall off. So what if I'm miles from another $500 dollar repair, it's still cheaper than buying new/used. But I do have to say that I love those Scion xb trucks. They get 30 miles to the gallon! There's so much I want and I can't afford any of it. Let's go down the list:

Apple laptop computer: nope, too much
LCD TV: nope, too much
Armoire: nope, too much
New car: nope, too much
Pack of chewing gum: OK -- YEAH!

Hey, that spells ALAN P -- Hmmmmmm,
do I know an Alan P? No.

I don't care about money - I have my health and I'm not kidding. OK, that's it!

Good to be back! I'll have some photos of myself on my new boat (the Seahawk 300) tomorrow.

Sweet dreams,

Bob
