I didn't write down what I did every day which is unfortunate, because I'm not sure what I was doing from day to day. Hey, let's pretend that last week was really only one day, yeah, that will work.
I woke up "last week" around ten o'clock. That's some sweet sleep-in time but the 'ville will do that to you. I spent some time with the nephews and niece. We played Halo -- they're SO GOOD! I never won one match up. We also enjoyed some lovely dinners together. Chinese food, Mmmmmmmmm.
I helped my Mom a lot with the house. Nothing major, just found a place for everything. If I'm in the mood to clean, oh man, watch out! I didn't go out much, sad to say, there's not much to do in the old hometown. I was so bored one day that I drove up to Pittsburgh to catch a movie but even they didn't open up until 3:15 -- That's a day ruiner. I went to Steak & Shake instead, oh my, that's good stuff!
My Mom and I hit the local casino to blow off some stress. They have a new nickel slot machine called Mega Mart. It was a lot of fun. If you get three shopping carts, it takes you to a bonus screen. Once you're on a bonus screen, it's go time. A lot of smokers at the casino though, kind of sad. Oh, I did a GREAT sociological study. I was cashing out $17 in nickels (I know, big spender!) and one of my nickels flew out of the hopper and rolled in front of the lady sitting next to me. My first instinct was to reach down and get my nickel but then I thought, let's see how this goes. The nickel hit her shoe, she and I'm NOT KIDDING, she put her foot over the nickel and didn't tell me about it. How about that? And don't give me the old 'maybe she needed it' -- IT WAS A NICKEL! Let this be yet another of life's lessons: people are turds.
For the last year my wiper fluid hasn't worked. I fixed it a few months ago by getting a new motor, only to find the fluid on the floor the next day. It was the bottle, not the motor - oops. I couldn't find an exact replacement for my '82 jeep so for only $20, I got a kit. It's really a pretty good deal, they give you new hose, a bottle and a motor. I put it in only to find that there was no where to screw the bottle onto. I could have made a bracket but it'd have to be metal and I don't have those kinds of tools. So,here's what I ended up with:

Car repair 101
How funny is that?! I admit it, it's pretty bad but its never worked so good before! I need a new whip. (Bob slang: whip = car)
I enjoyed some wings with my friend Tim one day. Always good to kick it with him. And who would have thought that eating 24 wings at 11pm would feel so good -- it's a question for the ages, really.
Reminder to my brother George: BURN THOSE CDS FOR ME! [George promised he'd burn some CDs for me but never got around to it]
I'm back! We're back.
Stay gold,
Bob
PS Today's Photo of the Day was taken at mile marker 14 on Route 80 in PA. I love driving by that spot and the billboard is classic. Maybe I should keep my eyes on the road? Anyway, tell your friends! (?)
