Friday night I hung out with Tiffany and she told me about the process of buying an apartment. There's a lot of steps. A little overwhelming but I think she ends up doing all the work, ha ha. I got home around 11, watched some TV and hit the sack.
Saturday I woke up at 10. I got on the computer right away to buy a windshield wiper bottle for the Jeep. I found a great site and I noticed that they had 15% off of a "Jeep" radiator. I thought, better safe than sorry and I bought it. I had it shipped back to Ohio because I'll be going back there soon. Good deal. After that, I didn't have any plans, surprise surprise, but it was such a nice day, I had to get out there. I loaded up the laundry and headed for Nutley. When I got to the highway, it looked like everyone had the same idea I did (Not laundry, getting out of town). I didn't feel like getting stuck in traffic so I did my laundry in Hoboken. So much for going for a drive. After laundry, i drove to the A & P. I got home, cooked up a steak and watched The Dirty Dozen. Damn great movie.
I talked to my Mom later in the day and she wondered why I bought a radiator when Sal said it could probably go for 6 more months. Good question. I got off the phone andcanceled the radiator. Then I started searching for bags, I found a 20% off coupon. I hate the bag I use for work and the coupon pretty much forced me to make a purchase. My bag is too small for me. They sure did have a lot of bags. So much so, that I stayed up until 2am and didn't buy anything.
Sunday I woke up around 10. Another beautiful day -- I watched TV until 2pm. I also bought a bag (2 days, 3 hours and I finally bought one). I called up my friend Tiffany, she was showing an apartment in Jersey City so I drove over there to take a look. Real nice apartment -- Viking stove and fridge, 1500 square feet -- 'hey, maybe I should buy this place' I thought. It was $359,000, oops. A little (!) out of my price range. I'm glad I went over though because I got to check out the area. I don't think it's for me.
I drove back to Hoboken, found a parking spot four blocks from Supercuts and got a haircut. After that I went home and cooked up a small steak and some soup. I checked my e-mail around 7:00 and saw that my bosses left me a message to call the writing staff because we're starting early on Monday. No problem except the list I had was from 2001. I was so PISSED at myself for not having the latest list that I got in the car and drove into the city.
Here's what the Lincoln Tunnel looks like at 9:00pm on a Sunday:

I called everyone, drove back to Hoboken. I parked my car and a somewhat big puddle of anti-freeze came pouring out. I got on the computer, ordered the same radiator that I ordered and canceled from the day before. I'm having it shipped here because I doubt I'd have a safe trip without proper cooling. Turns out, It was a good thing that I went to the city. I wouldn't have noticed the anti-freeze until it was too late (Too late: car on side of road, on fire). Okay -- END OF WEEKEND.
Tell your friends.
Always,
Bob
