There was a lamp that someone put on the street that I've had my eye on for a few days. I forgot to pick it up Wednesday night, I missed it again Thursday morning because I had to catch a bus and Thursday night, it was gone. That's the law of the streets my friends, you don't think, you react - you think, you die. I thought and now I'm out a cool lamp.

I got off the bus last night around 9:45. I went to the record store to buy The Cactus Album by 3rdBass, they didn't have it but they did have a new CD by Neil Young & Crazy Horse.

How the heck did I miss that?! I bought it on the spot. I'm only on the first song, it's all good.

After the CD store I walked by a bar that I knew my friend Lauren (Hobolola) was going to be celebrating her birthday in. Wait, is her name Lauren? I hope so. Anyway, I was walking by and my hatred of bars and the stupid people really kicked into high gear. I just kept on walking. But to Lauren I say this, Happy Birthday!

Today is the 10th Anniversary of the Late Show on CBS. Congratulations to Dave and everyone I work with! I started off as an intern back in 1993 and in 1995 I started working there. I've been there for 8 years. Time really goes fast. I've had my ups and downs but I'm very happy I hung in there.

My special announcement about going on a diet is going to have to wait until next week; I see a burrito in my future this weekend. I know, I know, another delay -- Hey, at least I'm honest about it!
